The LM 846 is a much more common wheel loader than the LM 845. It has the same size tires all around and weighs 500kgs more. While the 845 was better for forestry work thanks to its larger front wheels, the 846 was a better allround loader for materials handling. Volvo TD50B – 125hp turbocharged 5.13L inline six cylinder engine
Volvo TD60A – 145hp turbocharged 5.48L inline six cylinder engine with more torque and higher rpm. Cost 5000
Volvo TD70B – 185hp turbocharged 6.73L truck engine with updated torque converter, increasing top speed. Cost 15000
