Real Silage – Silage that has to be earned
Compact your bunker silo step by step, cover it properly and stop your silage from spoiling. With Real Silage, making silage becomes a realistic workflow where every pass counts.
Compacting
Individual compaction map: Every bunker silo has its own map that records the compaction of every spot. Coloured crosses show you the current state directly on the silage heap: Red = not compacted, Yellow = partly compacted, Green = fully compacted.
Weight and silo roller: The weight of your vehicle and the use of a silo roller influence the compaction. Heavy tractors with a roller need fewer passes than light vehicles.
Markers: The coloured crosses are only shown while filling, as long as the silo is open.
Covering
To cover a silo you need, depending on the size of the bunker silo, the matching number of silo sacks, one roll of silo foil and one roll of underlay foil. All required materials are available in the shop:
Silo sacks: Available on pallets.
Silo foil: Available on pallets.
Foil rack: To cover a silo, the rack has to be positioned at the bunker silo and loaded with silo foil and underlay foil.
Spoilage
Insufficient compaction: Poorly compacted areas can spoil under the cover. The worse the compaction, the higher the risk.
Visible mould: When you open the bunker silo, the mould becomes visible on the silage heap.
Spoiled silage: Is treated as its own fill type. You can pick it up with a shovel or fork and load it into a manure spreader, where it becomes manure for your fields.
Notes
The standard compaction mechanics of the game are replaced by this system.
With the console command rsGrid you can switch the compaction markers on the heap on and off.
