FillType HotFix v1.24.0

Game: Farming Simulator 25 Mod Type: Script / Compatibility HotFix Target Version: FS25 Update 1.24 Platform: PC / Mac Multiplayer: Intended to be multiplayer compatible Author / Developer: Iraydawg Modding Status: Development / Testing
Purpose
FS25 FillType 1.24 HotFix is a drop-in compatibility mod designed to address FillType-related problems introduced by Farming Simulator 25 Update 1.24.
The mod is intended to provide a temporary compatibility layer for affected mods and savegames without requiring users to manually modify their installed mods, maps or base game files.

Fixes issues with Straw Harvest Pack and other affected DLCS after the update.
Primary Goals
Restore compatibility for custom FillTypes affected by FS25 1.24.
Prevent compatible custom FillTypes from failing during game loading.
Improve compatibility with existing modded maps, productions, husbandries, storage systems, and sell points.
Preserve existing savegames whenever possible.
Avoid modifying unaffected base-game FillTypes.
Minimize conflicts with other script mods.
Provide useful log information for troubleshooting.
Operate automatically after installation.

Installation
Place the completed ZIP file directly into:
Documents/My Games/FarmingSimulator2025/mods
Do not extract the ZIP.
Enable FS25 FillType 1.24 HotFix when loading the savegame.
Planned File Structure
Additional scripts may be added as development and testing identify specific Update 1.24 compatibility problems.
Runtime Behavior

When a savegame loads, the hotfix should:
Detect the active Farming Simulator version.
Initialize after the required FillType managers become available.
Inspect registered FillTypes.
Detect conditions affected by the 1.24 FillType changes.
Apply only the required compatibility fixes.
Preserve correctly registered FillTypes.
Avoid creating duplicate FillType registrations.
Output diagnostic information to log.txt.
Continue operating without requiring player interaction.

Compatibility Philosophy
The hotfix should patch behavior rather than permanently alter another installed mod.

Whenever possible, it should:
Avoid overwriting XML files belonging to other mods.
Avoid changing base-game files.
Avoid hard-coding third-party FillType names.
Detect custom FillTypes dynamically.
Fail safely when an unsupported configuration is encountered.
Prevent duplicate registrations.
Remain inactive where no correction is necessary.

Savegame Compatibility
The mod should be designed to work with existing saves.
Removing the hotfix should not intentionally modify or delete existing FillType data. However, saves containing FillTypes from other mods will continue to require those original mods.
Always back up important savegames before testing development versions.

Multiplayer
For multiplayer use, the hotfix should be installed and enabled consistently with the savegame’s required mod set.
No gameplay advantage, economy modification, or player-specific behavior is intended.

Logging
Diagnostic messages should use an identifiable prefix such as:

[FS25 FillType 1.24 HotFix]

Example:
[FS25 FillType 1.24 HotFix] Initializing…
[FS25 FillType 1.24 HotFix] Scanning registered FillTypes…
[FS25 FillType 1.24 HotFix] Compatibility patch applied.
[FS25 FillType 1.24 HotFix] No affected FillTypes detected.

Errors and unsupported configurations should also be clearly identified in the Farming Simulator log.txt.
